Lago di Garda, Italy

Our second stop this summer was the Garda Lake in Italy. We stayed in a little town, called Gargnano which is located on the western border of the lake, for 3 days.

In the last couple of years, we have been to the lake Como and Maggiore which we absolutely loved. So this year we figured it would be a good idea to visit the lake Garda about which I had already heard a lot of good reports.

As you probably read in my last post we made our first stop this summer in Strasbourg. So to get to Gargnano we had to drive 6 hours which is less than if we had been driven from home directly.

The road was very interesting and beautiful as we drove a long time alongside the lake.  The streets a little narrow and very curvy but the views fantastic!!! To get to the town where our hotel was we had to drive through small towns on the lake Garda which was amazing. These villages have big promenades and there are a lot of restaurants and cafes where people have fun and relax with the view of the lake and mountains.

In our town, Gargnano, there is a beach – nice swimming in the lake with a fantastic view. But there are big stones which makes swimming not so easy.

On our first day in Gargnano, we drove up the hills for a better view (town Tremosine) which proved to be worth it although the road was very difficult. There was only one lane for two-way traffic. So at one point, there were 20 cars in front of us and behind us and no way to drive past.

The town Gargnano itself is very beautiful, too. Small streets with tiny shops…

On our last day, we rented a boat at the Marina di Bogliaco. This has been the dream of my father for several years now. AND yes, we had a blast! Travelling through the whole lake Garda and seeing every border was possible and easy. If you have the possibility to rent a boat – DO IT! We all were very happy!

So all in all, we really enjoyed our trip to Lago di Garda. A great place for a relaxed vacation in contrast to overfilled holiday spots with beyond beautiful views at the lake and the mountains. A place with a lot of Italians and Germans hahaha…

Obligatory is a car when traveling to the lake as there is nearly no other way of transportation.

The weather in the middle of August was very good, about 28 degrees Celcius, not too hot.

Thanks for reading! Have a good day 🙂

Strasbourg, France

We started our summer vacation this year with a quick stop in Strasbourg which is located in France some kilometers from the German border. We stayed there only for one night and had one day to explore the city.

Strasbourg’s old town is surrounded by the river Ill as you can see on the map below which shows the center of Strasbourg. Within this historical old town, there are all kinds of shopping possibilities, a lot of hotels and restaurants which are mostly located on big places.

Strasbourg Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral

I really liked the city of Strasbourg. A lot of big places full of life, small streets with ancient buildings and the beautiful river which reminds me of Amsterdam. Furthermore, the city is the seat of several European institutions and therefore often called the European capital.

Must see is, of course, the old town where all touristic attractions can be found. Perfect for a couple of days.

The Red Pullover

Hey, today I’d like to present an outfit that I’ve been obsessed with in the last couple of weeks. I’m wearing a plain red pullover with a black skinny jeans and my black nikes. As I have been wearing far too much black clothes lately it is a great way to change an outfit to be more interesting.

The red pullover is from a vintage store in London. It is called Beyond Retro Store and is located on 58-59 Great Marlborough Street, not far away from Oxford Street. The store is full of interesting and unique clothes one definitely have to check out when being in London. The jeans is a Jamie from Topshop.

Genoa, Italy

The next place we visited last summer was Genoa, Italy.

Genoa is the capital of the province Liguria in northwest Italy and the sixth largest city in Italy.

In Genoa you can have two different types of vacation: you can explore the old town of Genua which is very beautiful and go shopping but also can have a relaxed time at the beach.

In the following pictures you can see the seaside of Genoa with a lot of state-owned beaches. These are not the prettiest but the fact that this old city has got the seaside is interesting. Walking through the city one would not think that this city is located at a sea.

Baveno, Italy

I’m back with another blog post!

These are pictures from my summer trip to Baveno, Lago Maggiore, in Italy. The views of the lake were amazing and the weather perfect. The hotel we were staying in was very big with a lot of space around the building including a pool.

In the city of Baveno you can find a loooot of places to eat pizza. But not just any pizza. We literally ate pizza every evening because it was so delicious there!

So I would recommend visiting this place to chill at the pool or the sea and eat lots of amazing pizza!

München 2016 (part 2)

Welcome to my second blog post about our trip to Munich!

I have already been to Munich once like 9 years ago but obviously I hardly remember anything. So it was amazing to refresh the memories.

The city of Munich overall is very beautiful, full of modern buildings with a touch of the Bavarian style.

These are some pictures of the most popular place in Munich called the “Marienplatz”.

As you can see this is the place where we took the outfit photos . It is the place of the Munich Pinakotheka. These are museums of different kind of art. We went to some of the exhibitions and really enjoyed them especially the modern ones.

On our last day in Munich we decided to take the tube to a part of Munich, where the people actually live like “Schwabing”.

I am really glad that we went to this place because we got to see a huge park with loads of people just chilling and relaxing on a warm evening! This part of Munich has got a big street, which is very beautiful and it leads to several small roads with nice restaurants and people sitting outside eating! So overall a nice part of Munich! Really enjoyed that!

This is a very interesting part of the “Englischer Garten” park in Munich. I believe this is the only place one can surf in the town of Munich. So there are professional surfers or just people who like to surf. At the different endings of this part of the river “Isar” there are lots of people standing and watching them surf with a great interest! So a very interesting experience!

München 2016 (part 1: outfit)

Lately we had a small break for a couple of days from school and my friend, her mother, my mother and me decided to do a trip to Munich, the second biggest city of Germany. We already had been traveling together two years ago and really enjoyed that so it was a good idea to redo this. AND yes we had a great time!

As we walked trough Munich and explored the town we managed to take outfit photos. My friend, Hannah, did a great job! Thanks!

So that day the weather was wonderful. It has been the first warm day of the year! My flannel is from Brandy Melville, my top and jeans from Topshop. The shoes I am wearing are Nikes and my bag is from Liebeskind.
